The monkshoods are fine perennials and the taller forms make a good alternative to Delphiniums. Aconitum napellus ‘Rubellum’ is an erect, hardy perennial with deeply cut, dark green leaves and pale pink hooded flowers on sturdy spikes. Flowering mid to late summer it likes sun or partial shade and moist but well drained soil. Height up to 1m/3ft. ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES WHEN HANDLING THE FOLIAGE AS CONTACT MAY IRRITATE SKIN. ALL PARTS OF THE PLANTS ARE HIGHLY TOXIC IF INGESTED.
